Last Tuesday Jessie and I took a four-hour train trip to Würzburg, a really quaint city in Franken, which is Germany's best known wine region. Thankfully we had pretty great weather. We were even able to take a jog along the Main river. Unfortunately we didn't get a picture of that, but here's a few other highlights...

On our last night we ate in a restaurant that claims to be the oldest pizzeria in Germany, started in 1952. This picture is a bit staged in that it was taken in the downstairs half, called the "Blue Grotto." We actually ate upstairs in the much more normal part. Although we didn't get the pizza, our pasta was delicious.

We were treated to a large German breakfast every morning at the hotel. And the hard boiled egg cozy always made us smile :)

These pics of Wurzburg are great! We visited twice and the pictures make me want to go back again.
